DFP assisted Anglican Retirement Villages (ARV) in due diligence investigations for a social housing project at Derby Street, Penrith. ARV as a provider of seniors housing identified a need for seniors social housing in the Penrith LGA specifically for seniors at risk of homelessness.

ARV purchased the site and DFP assisted ARV in discussions with Council to establish the appropriate planning approval pathway, as a project for seniors housing for persons on a low income was not recognised in the Council’s planning controls. DFP prepared the SEE for the construction of 20 self-contained dwellings. The development is designed as a low scale infill development with single storey dwellings arranged around a common pedestrian landscaped walkway.

The site is well located being on public bus routes and within easy reach of the Penrith CBD for retail and other services and when completed will meet a demand for seniors social housing in the local area.
