Ventemans Reach Reserve is located on the banks of the Lane Cove River. The site is traversed by a boardwalk allowing people to experience and enjoy the natural environment while also seeing relics such as the Pumphouse which point to Lane Cove Rivers heavy industrial past.
DFP assisted Lane Cove Council obtain development consent for a complex remediation and boardwalk project which had to deal with both the natural environment and contamination from past industrial usage.
The project was declared designated development due to works being within coastal wetlands. DFP prepared the Environmental Impact Statement which included clear and detailed mitigation measures to ensure the project could be carried out within the sensitive environment and allow for return of public access to this part of Lane Cove River.
DFP are able to assist with projects within ecological constraints include both marine and terrestrial ecosystems and the relevant environmental legislation.
