The Jewel Village, Blacktown

The Jewel Village is a four storey mixed use development in close proximity to Blacktown CBD. The development comprises a supermarket, retail premises, medical centre, chemist and bottle shop at ground level with 64 residential apartments above.

DFP provided strategic planning services by preparing a planning proposal to amend the building height controls for this gateway site. Key considerations included providing a suitable density while reducing solar and scale impacts on neighbouring residential properties and a primary school.

DFP then provided statutory planning services for the subsequent Development Application including the preparation of a Statement of Environmental Effects, Clause 4.6 Variation, Operational Plan of Management, Social Impact Statement, CPTED Assessment, Loading Dock Management Plan and expert witness services in the Land and Environment Court.
